King, Australian Defence Minister discuss region, fight against terrorism

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II Tuesday received Australian Minister for Defence, Marise Payne, for talks on military ties and developments in the region, especially Syrian and Iraq.

During the meeting, held at the Al Hussainiah Palace, King Abdullah reviewed developments related to the war against terrorism. His Majesty and the Austrian minister said cooperation and coordination should be stepped up among concerned parties in the region and beyond to combat terrorism, which threatens global security and stability.

The meeting was attended by the Royal Court Chief, King's Office Director, and the Australian Ambassador in Amman.
