Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Monday, received cables of congratulation from senior civic and military officials on the 49th anniversary of the Al Karama Battle, which falls on Tuesday.

The King received cables from the Prime Minister, Senate president, Lower House speaker, Judicial Council president, Chief of the Royal Court, King's Advisor for National Security Affairs and Director of the department of general intelligence, Constitutional Court president, Chairman of the Independent Elections Commission (IEC), Chief Justice, Grand Mufti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Directors of the departments of public security, civil defence, the gendarmerie, the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans, as well as public figures.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II also received similar cables from the top officials.

In their cables, the officials praised the victory and sacrifices of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army, led by the late King Hussein bin Talal, at the 1968 Al Karama Battle, calling it a turning point in the country's history.
