King meets group of Jordanian entrepreneurs

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II met in the presence of He Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Sunday, with a group of Jordanian entrepreneurs in the technological sector.

During the meeting held at Al Husseiniya Palace, the King listened to the youths' expertise and projects that set a model at the regional level, the challenges facing the youth, means to expand the technology sector and enhance youth capacities to be more involved in this sector.

The entrepreneurs spoke about emerging projects, noting that many of these projects are set up by Jordanians, who leave the country due to the absence of a proper environment that enable these projects to grow and prosper.

His Majesty stressed the importance of benefiting from the expertise of the entrepreneurs to encourage the youth to learn from them. "I feel very proud when I see your generation playing an important role in the future of our country," he added.

The King also voiced pride in Jordanian youth leaders, who will lead Jordan to a better future.

In this context, he called for providing a relevant and positive climate to support the technology sector and emerging projects through coordination with concerned bodies.

His Majesty highlighted the importance of business entrepreneurship and innovation as basic elements in increasing economic growth rate and creating additional job opportunities for Jordanians. He said that the challenges facing Jordan are not political or security, but rather the economic situation and the creation of job opportunities.

The King directed concerned officials in the government and the Royal Court to follow up on proposals made by owners of emerging projects and work with them to translate them into action plans.
