Dusty conditions forecast Saturday, in temps over next two days

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Warm and dusty conditions are forecast to prevail on Saturday with temperatures reaching a high of 20 degrees Celsius in the capital and 17 in the northern and southern regions, according to the Jordan Metrological Department(JMD).

At night, clouds will appear at medium and high altitudes, bringing scattered showers accompanied with thunder and lightning across the Kingdom and driving temperatures down to 3 degrees in the southern parts, 8 in the capital and 9 in the northern regions.

Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba for today will range between a high of 31 degrees and a low of 16, the JMD said.

A tangible in temperatures is forecast over the next two days, creating relatively cold conditions in the hilly areas and the Badia regions, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Showers of rain are also expected in the northern governorates with brisk winds blowing dust mainly in the southern and eastern parts of the country, the JMD added.
