AMMONNEWS - President of the Private Hospital Association (PHA), Fawzi Hamouri and Chad's Secretary of State for Public Health, Mahamat Annadif Youssouf, signed a joint health cooperation agreement in the areas of training, insurance, hospital management and exchange of expertise.
Under the agreement, the PHA will facilitate procedures for Chadian patients to visit Jordan for treatment and discuss launching direct flights between Amman and N'Djamena with Royal Jordanian (RJ). The Chadian Ministry of Public Health will also direct its patients to travel to Jordan in coordination with the Jordanian authorities.
Health Minister, Mahmoud Sheyab, praised the agreement and called for promoting mutual cooperation to serve patients and provide them with quality medical services.
The Chadian minister, who took part in the Global Healthcare Travel Forum held recently in Amman, voiced his admiration for Jordan's achievements in the field of health.
He also called for facilitating entry procedures for Chadian patients to receive treatment in Jordan and granting them visas within a day or two.
Hamouri said member hospitals of the PHA are willing to provide the best medical services to Chadian patients at competitive prices and other services.
