A ministry of education spokesman told Petra that classes were suspended as a precautionary measure and to ensure the safety of students. Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Authorities on Thursday ordered the suspension of school classes in the northern border town of Ramtha for Thursday as intense fighting broke out in the adjacent Syrian city of Daraa on the other side of the border.

A ministry of education spokesman told Petra that classes were suspended as a precautionary measure and to ensure the safety of students.
