The King told the US House and Senate members during the meeting at Al Husseiniyeh Palace that Jordan appreciated US aid that enables it to carry out development plans and address the economic and security repercussions of the Syrian refugee crisis. The meeting also dealt with efforts to re-launch serious and effective peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis based on the two-state solution, as the only avenue to solve the conflict. The meeting also tackled regional and international efforts to fight terrorism as well as the Syrian crisis and the situation in Iraq. Senator Wicker and his team valued Jordan's pivotal role in addressing various Middle East crises and challenges and lauded its efforts to bring about security and stability in the region.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II Sunday welcomed a US Congressional team, led by Senator Roger Wicker, for a discussion of the strategic relationship and cooperation between Jordan and the United States as well as regional and international developments.

The King told the US House and Senate members during the meeting at Al Husseiniyeh Palace that Jordan appreciated US aid that enables it to carry out development plans and address the economic and security repercussions of the Syrian refugee crisis.
