Sub-contract signed to develop oil and gas terminal in Aqaba

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A sub-contract was signed on Thursday to qualify Aqaba oil and gas terminal on the Red Sea.

The deal was signed by Ahmad Yousef Tarawneh Co. and Qahtan Haddadeen Co. consortium and Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC).

Attending the signing ceremony, Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ibrahim Saif said that the agreement plays a role in cementing ties between the two countries.

The project will include the development of the second phase of the Aqaba oil and gas terminal. It also aims to allow ships to dock at night and operate the terminal around the clock to double its capacity.

The project also aims to boost safety and security as well as protecting the environment.
