Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A video clip purportedly showing a tiger roaming between cars on a busy street was not filmed in Dubai, police clarified on Wednesday, after social media users widely shared it saying the incident took place in the emirate.

Brigadier Saif Mohair Al Mazroui, director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, said the video was shot in another Gulf state due to the plate numbers on vehicles appearing in the film.

He said the name of Dubai could have been used to make the video’s content go viral, given the city’s popularity and significance.

Al Mazroui also said no reports have been received nor had anything been spotted by police regarding a tiger on the loose in Dubai roads.

Last month, a video that went viral on social media showed five tigers playing in the water near Dubai’s iconic Burj Al Arab.
