Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Hani Mulki, on Monday reiterated Jordan's support for Yemen and its "legitimacy", as well as to efforts being exerted to regain security and stability in the "brotherly" country.

At a meeting here with his Yemeni counterpart, Ahmed bin Dagher, Mulki said His Majesty King Abdullah II has stressed in all global arenas support to political solutions to crises in a number of Arab countries, including Yemen and Syria.

"A political solution is reasonable and optimal to safeguard Yemenis and their country and put an end to the conflict there", said Mulki. He also pointed to the importance of implementing the UN Security Council resolution 2216 and to engage in serious negotiations to reach a peaceful solution.

"Jordan is the Arabs' country and it would serve the Arab nation", said Mulki, expressing hope that the Centennial of the Great Arab Revolt, which Jordan celebrates, sends a spirit of unity, solidarity and sets aside differences in Arab countries.

The Yemeni premier, who conveyed the greetings of Yemini President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, to HM King Abdullah II, government and people of Jordan, valued the Kingdom's historic stances that supported Yemen over the years.

Bin Dagher updated Mulki on the latest developments in his country, while stressing that peace is the goal "we aspire to realize."

He also noted Yemen's Road Map that includes a constitutional referendum to elect a president and parliament away from external interference to ensure peaceful transition of power.

The two premiers also discussed bilateral ties, particularly facilities provided to Yeminis in Jordan whether for studying or treatment purposes.
