Taking gender into consideration, the rate increased for males by 2.7 percentage points, standing at 13.8 percent, while for females it stood at 25.2 percent, or a slight increase of 0.1 percentage points, compared to the first quarter of 2015, the report show. The figures also revealed that the highest rate of unemployment was recorded in Aqaba governorate at 19.8 percent, while the lowest was registered in Zarqa governorate at 11.4 percent.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The unemployment rate during the third quarter of 2016 has reached 15.8 %, marking an increase of 2 percentage points, according to a report issued by the Department of Statistics.

Taking gender into consideration, the rate increased for males by 2.7 percentage points, standing at 13.8 percent, while for females it stood at 25.2 percent, or a slight increase of 0.1 percentage points, compared to the first quarter of 2015, the report show.

The figures also revealed that the highest rate of unemployment was recorded in Aqaba governorate at 19.8 percent, while the lowest was registered in Zarqa governorate at 11.4 percent.
