Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, On Thursday opened the Princess Haya Military Hospital in the northern governorate of Ajloun, that serves half a million people in the Ajloun and Jerash governorates.

The King, accompanied by HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, toured various sections of the hospital, which was equipped with modern medical devices and provided with qualified and trained medical, technical and administrative cadres.

The nine-storey medical facility, which was established with the support of the Saudi Fund for Development, is constructed on a 43-dunum plot of land and has 150 beds.

The hospital comprises all the key medical specialisations available at the Royal Medical Services, such as dialysis, physiotherapy and X-ray departments, in addition to having 11 operation theatres.

His Majesty, who was also accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Mahmoud Freihat, the Royal Court chief and the secretary general of the Royal Court, was briefed by Director General of the Royal Medical Services, Major General Mueen Habashneh, on the technical and medical standards that have been adopted to establish the hospital that meets the needs of citizens of Ajloun and Jerash.
