Jordan's budget deficit declines to $446mln in July

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The General budget deficit declined to JD317 million at the end of July, 2016 from JD374 million in the same period of 2015, according to the monthly bulletin of the Finance Ministry on Wednesday.

The deficit before foreign grants would have been JD565.7 million by the end of July this year , while it would have been JD681.6 million in the same period of last year.

Public revenues at the end of July, including domestic and foreign grants, stood at around JD4.110 billion, compared to JD3.841 billion in the same period of 2015.

Domestic revenues rose by JD3.862 billion standing at JD3.862.2 billion compared to JD3.534 billion in the same period od last year, the figures showed.

Government spending at the end of July this year stood at JD4.428 billion compared to JD4.216 billion, ministry report said.
