Army chief departs for US to partake in anti-Daesh meeting

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - King's Advisor for Military Affairs and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mashal Zaben, Monday, left Amman for to the U.S. at the invitation of U.S Secretary of Defense, Ashton Carter, to participate in a meeting of the international coalition against the Daesh terror group.

The meeting, scheduled to take place this week at the Pentagon, will bring together defence ministers of countries participating in the coalition fighting Daesh terrorist group.

During his visit, Zaben is set to meet defence ministers and U.S military leaders of a number of countries.
