Inflation down by 1.4% during 6 months

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Inflation in the first 6 months of 2016 went down by 1.4% per cent, compared to the same period of 2015, the Department of Statistics (DOS) said Sunday.

Main items that contributed to the were transportation( 7%), meat and poultry (8%), fuel and lightening(7.8%), as well as vegetables, fruits, nuts and others.

Figures showed that an increase in prices during the aforementioned period were in rents (3%), recreation (5%), clothes (3.6%) and cigarettes (1.6%), the department added.
