The attack, that resulted from a car bombing, killed six members of security forces and wounded 14 others. The embassy said in a statement that it would continue to support the Jordan Armed Forces, adding that " we are proud to be partners with the brave men and women", to safeguard the security of the country. "Their sacrifice to their homeland is an inspiration to us all", added the statement. It also stressed that the U.S stands with Jordan and its people to face this terrorist act.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The U.S. embassy in Amman condemned on Tuesday an attack against Jordanian security forces on the border with Syria.

The attack, that resulted from a car bombing, killed six members of security forces and wounded 14 others.

The embassy said in a statement that it would continue to support the Jordan Armed Forces, adding that " we are proud to be partners with the brave men and women", to safeguard the security of the country.

"Their sacrifice to their homeland is an inspiration to us all", added the statement.

It also stressed that the U.S stands with Jordan and its people to face this terrorist act.
