Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Senate's legal Committee endorsed the 2016 Draft Constitutional Amendments as referred from the Lower House of Parliament during Thursday's session that was chaired by Senate President Faisal Al Fayez.

Al Fayez said in remarks that the Senate was discussing constitutional amendments due to its keenness on Jordan's national interests to guarantee the Kingdom's security, stability and development.

"We respect all views and stances related to these amendments as they are part of the freedom of expression guaranteed by the laws and the constitution," he added.

These amendments, Al Fayez said are an indication that we are steadily moving towards political reforms represented in the formation of parliamentary governments in line with a clear vision that was highlighted by His Majesty King Abdullah II in the discussion papers.
