Relatively hot conditions forecast till Thursday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A rise in temperatures is expected on Tuesday to become 7-8 degrees above their annual average; therefore it will be relatively hot in the hilly areas and hot in other parts of the country.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly moderate blowing dust mainly in the southern and eastern regions.

A in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday and Thursday, but they will remain around their seasonal average. Therefore, it will continue to be mild in most regions and relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

Winds will be westerly to northwesterly moderate to brisk with a chance for drizzles mainly in the southern and eastern parts of the Kingdom, the JMD added.

Maximum temperatures forecast in the capital for today will range between a high of 32 degrees Celsius and a low of 20 degrees at night, while mercury levels in the gulf of Aqaba will hit 40 degrees dropping down to 25 at night, the JMD said.
