Army chief receives Pakistani counterpart

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - King's Advisor for Military Affairs and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mashal Mohammad Al Zaben, on Monday received Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army, General Raheel Sharif and an accompanying delegation.

Talks during the meeting, which was attended by HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, dealt with the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest.

The Pakistani army chief received from General Al Zaben the Military Merit of the First Order which was bestowed upon him by His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army in recognition of the strong ties between Jordan and Pakistan.

The Pakistani army chief voiced admiration of the advanced level of the Jordan Armed Forces as well as cooperation and coordination between both countries' armed forces.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries.
