At the meeting, Tarawneh emphasized the importance of maximizing electoral platforms concerning electoral lists that will run for the elections. He also pointed to the need of raising public awareness on the electoral process in general, and the voting mechanism in particular. Kalaldeh said the commission is ready for the election, adding that "we are working on developing programs and holding elections awareness workshops."

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Speaker of the Lower House Atif Tarawneh, Monday, welcomed the newly-appointed President of the Independent Election Commission (IEC), Khalid Kalaldeh, in a meeting that dealt with the commission's preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
