He announced that the UN will hold a global humanitarian summit, the first of its kind, to discuss the establishment of a sustainable frame through which assistance can be provided to refugees and those affected by crises. Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Imad Fakhoury, said the Kingdom is working with the World Bank on a second Development Policy Loan (DPL) at a value of $250 million instead of pursuing short-term and costlier lending. He stressed that the World's Bank support to Jordan left a significant impact in terms of funding priority projects in key sectors, including education, vocational training, employment, social development, energy, water, health, transportation, environment and local community development among others.
