The initiative, launched in 2015 by Crown Prince Hussein, includes implanting cochlear devices into the ears of qualified candidates; establishing rehabilitation centres across the kingdom for children who undergo the implant procedure; and training speech rehabilitation specialists and parents on how to help their children speak. It aims to make Jordan free of hearing disabilities and help deaf children in the country. Such operations enable children to regain hearing and integrate them into the society to be effective members who can live a normal life.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Eleven children underwent surgeries for ear malformations by a special medical team at the King Abdullah University Hospital as part of HRH Crown Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah II Initiative "Hearing Without Borders".

The initiative, launched in 2015 by Crown Prince Hussein, includes implanting cochlear devices into the ears of qualified candidates; establishing rehabilitation centres across the kingdom for children who undergo the implant procedure; and training speech rehabilitation specialists and parents on how to help their children speak. It aims to make Jordan free of hearing disabilities and help deaf children in the country.
