He said that the international community should shoulder its responsibilities towards the Syrian refugees crisis. Momani's remarks came as he met with spokespersons of ministries and public institutions to them on the vision the government will present during the London Conference. He urged the spokespersons to keep in contact with media and non media bodies to clarify the extent of the burden shouldered by Jordan due to hosting a large number of Syrian refugees. The minister added that the London conference is political as His Majesty noted and called on states taking part in the conference to issue political decisions to help Syrian refugees. Momani said that the government will not be able to provide job opportunities to the refugees without investment and privileges to reach European markets as the unemployment rate in Jordan stands at 13 percent.
