Gov’t lowers prices of oil derivatives

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The government on Monday decided to lower the prices of main oil derivatives as of Tuesday, September 1.

According to the new prices, one litre of unleaded 90-octane gasoline will be sold at JD0.560, down from JD0.620, while one litre of 95-octane will cost JD725 compared with JD800.

Prices of both diesel and kerosene went down to JD0.405 per litre on the new price list, from JD0.455.

The price of cooking gas, which is also used by households for heating purposes, will be sold at JD7.25 per cylinder, down from JD7.5.

A government pricing committee meets monthly to adjust prices in a manner that corresponds to changes on the international market.
