British ambassadors highlights importance of Baptism Site

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al Fayez met yesterday with British Ambassador to Jordan Edward Oakden, who congratulated the minister on adding Jordan's Baptism Site to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

The ambassador praised the security and stability that prevail in the Kingdom as well as the tourism potentials Jordan has.

Al Fayez reviewed developments in the tourism sector and the negative impact of the political situation on it, adding that the decline in the number of tourists to the Kingdom is attributed to the political developments in the region.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed Jordanian-British ties as well as the importance of increasing the number of British tourists visiting the Kingdom.
