Mahmoudia Motors Showcases Land Rover’s New Discovery Sport in Jordan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - – Mahmoudia Motors - the sole and official dealer of Jaguar and Land Rover cars in Jordan - showcased on Saturday 23 May, 2015, Land Rover's New Discovery Sport during an exclusive event that gave the Kingdom's off-roading enthusiasts and their families the opportunity to experience first-hand Land Rover’s most versatile and capable compact SUV yet. Held at the Bisharat Golf Course, the full-day event enabled attendees to witness the vehicle's nimble all-terrain performance. Three lucky raffle winners also got the chance to test the SUV's prowess for themselves for a full weekend on a 5-star Wadi Rum camping trip.

The new edition of the Discovery family, the New Discovery Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine and 240 horsepower. In addition to a revolutionary design that features optional 5+2 seating while still retaining a more compact footprint than traditional 5-seat SUVs, the model’s state-of-the-art body shell boasts both ultra-high-strength steel and lightweight aluminium. Furthermore, the model’s progressive design encompasses a Head-Up Display (HUD), an all-new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, as well as tilt-and-slide row-two seating for maximum interior configurability. The SUV proved its underlying force and versatility when prototypes underwent a series of tests in the Middle East’s sweltering heat.
