Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Interior Minister Salamah Hammad, on Tuesday, stressed the important role of the gendarmerie in preserving the country's security, safeguarding public property and providing better services to Jordanians and Jordan's guests.

At a meeting with Acting Gendarmerie Director Brigadier General Atef al-Hajaya and his aides, the minister said the gendarmerie forces are a source of pride for the Hashemite leadership and all Jordanians, due to their key role in maintaining security in the country and assisting other security agencies.

During the visit to the gendarmerie headquarters, Hammad was also briefed on tasks as well as strategies to upgrade the performance of the security agency in preserving the country's assets.
