PM arrives in Kuwait to take part in conference on Syria

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour arrived in Kuwait on Monday at the head of a Jordanian delegation to take part in the Third International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria that opens tomorrow.

During the conference, which is being hosted by Kuwait for the third time and attended by 78 countries and 40 international organizations, the Jordanian delegation will present the Jordan Response Plan (JRP) for the Syrian crisis and ways of implementing it and providing finances for it.

The JRP aims to enhance Jordan's capabilities in dealing with the humanitarian and development needs as well as the costs that the government bears as a result of the Syrian crisis. It also focuses on providing the necessary support to Jordan to enable it to continue its services to the Syrian refugees and preserve the development that Jordan tries to achieve.

The Jordanian delegation comprises Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury and Jordan's Ambassador to Kuwait Mohammad Al Fayed.
