Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Anti-Narcotics Department personnel, in cooperation with the Jordan Customs, on Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle 135,000 narcotic pills across the border into a neighboring country, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said.

The PSD revealed that the drugs were found hidden inside five oil galloons in one of the border-crossing yards.

PSD personnel seized the galloons, which had been placed there by unknown persons in preparation for the smuggling attempt.

The department launched an investigation to identify the suspects and refer them to the concerned authorities.
