Ensour was replying to a remark by a lawmaker during a Lower House session that millions of dinars worth of surplus funds belonging to the Aqaba Development Corporation had not been returned to the state's treasury. Ensour asked the finance minister to investigate the MP's claim. Also replying to a comment by another MP that the system and regulations governing the work of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority were vague, the prime minister said he agrees that there are some problems but they will be addressed. *Petra

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said, on Wednesday, that financial surplus in any public institution must be sent back to the state's treasury.

Ensour was replying to a remark by a lawmaker during a Lower House session that millions of dinars worth of surplus funds belonging to the Aqaba Development Corporation had not been returned to the state's treasury. Ensour asked the finance minister to investigate the MP's claim.

Also replying to a comment by another MP that the system and regulations governing the work of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority were vague, the prime minister said he agrees that there are some problems but they will be addressed.
