National economy grows by 3.1 percent in third quarter of 2014

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.1 percent in the third quarter of 2014, compared to the same period of 2013, according to Department of Statistics (DoS).

Regarding the productive sectors, all of these showed a positive growth in the third quarter of this year compared to the same period of last year.

The extractive industries sector registered the highest growth rate, standing at 43.7 percent in the third quarter of 2014, followed by the construction sector with 12.5 percent and the agricultural sector with 7.8 percent.
