RJ Assistant Executive Director for Media Affairs, Basel Kilani, said the captain of the 787 airliner, which was en route from Chicago to Amman, decided, as a precautionary measure, to land at Heathrow Airport to check "the technical readings of one of the plane's engines". He added that the issue was addressed in a short time and the aircraft took off again to Amman following a 3-hour delay caused by heavy traffic at the airport.

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A Royal Jordanian Boeing 787 Dreamliner, bound for Amman, has been diverted to Heathrow Airport, to "address minor technical issue" in one of the aircraft's engines.
