Number of Syrian refugees account for 110 percent of population of Zaatari

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The percentage of Syrian refugees in the town of Zaatari, east of Mafraq, has risen to 110 percent of the town’s total population.

Mayor of Zaatari Abdul Karim Al Khalidi said the number of Syrian refugees has reached 13,000, adding that refugees are putting increasing pressure on the town’s services sector.

He also said that the high percentage of refugees contributed to a rise in the unemployment rate among the town's population.
