Egypt teacher a web hit after risky science lesson

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The video of an Egyptian chemistry teacher has gone viral on the Internet this week.

In the video, Ahmed Gabr was trying to his students how to produce a mild reaction by producing oxyhydrogen before the tumbler he was using suddenly exploded.

The children tried to leave the classroom in panic while some of them could be heard praying.

The 38-year-old, who became a social media star, works in the Egyptian capital.

Angry parents immediately complained about the incident with one mother saying: “That man is a fool. It is amazing nobody lost an eye with all that flying glass.”

“He's very lucky that none of the children were really hurt, just very scared and shaken up,” she added.
