Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) in collaboration with its Jordanian counterpart began on Thursday to distribute new clothes to Syrian refugees in Jordan on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

The campaign includes the distribution of 400 clothes packages each worth USD 70, Jordan Red Crescent Society chief Mohammad Al-Hadid told KUNA.

Al-Hadid said that volunteers from both societies started distributing the boxes earlier in the day after calculating the number of families that needed such aid, pointing out that volunteers will continue their campaign tomorrow.

JRCS praised aid offered by the State of Kuwait, especially during the holy occasion of Eid Al-Adha, noting that such aid helped the Kingdom's response efforts to repercussions of the humanitarian crisis in neighbouring Syria.

Kuwait's contributions help ease the suffering of Syrian refugees and help Jordan cope with the large flow of Syrian refugees since the outbreak of violence in their country which began four years ago, said Al-Hadid.
Al-Hadid also hailed the existing cooperation between the two country's Red Crescent societies, and their work to help minimize the suffering of the refugees.
