Jordan condemns terrorist attack on Egyptian checkpoint (correction)

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications, Mohammed Al-Momani, condemned the terrorist attack on a border checkpoint in Egypt's western desert on Saturday.

Al-Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, reiterated Jordan's position which rejects all acts of terrorism and violence regardless of the motives and sources.

He also expressed the Kingdom's solidarity with the people of Egypt in facing terrorism compromising the security, safety and stability of their country.

A spokesman for the Egyptian army has announced that 21 Egyptian soldiers were killed and 4 others were injured during an attack on a border checkpoint in Egypt’s western desert region near Libya.
