Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan has called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to discuss the latest developments in Gaza following the Israeli ground invasion of the strip.

An official at the Jordanian mission, which is the Arab representative on the Security Council, said early Friday that no time has been set for the meeting. The meeting, however, is expected to take place Friday afternoon, local time.
