Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Atef Tarawneh urged Arab parliaments to condemn the Israeli onslaught against the Palestinian people and work towards ending crimes being committed by Israel.

He also called for pressuring governments to provide further aid to the Palestinians in Gaza and benefiting from the Jordanian experience in delivering medical and humanitarian aid through the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization.

In remarks at the 21st Emergency Session of the Arab Parliamentary Union held in Cairo today, Tarawneh also called for activating resolutions of Arab summits in the context of the Palestinian issue as well as activities of the Arab committee which was entrusted with undertaking international tours to shed light on the rights of Palestinians as well as focus the world’s attention on the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.

The speaker also stressed the need to form an Arab legal committee to collect data and documents that focus on the Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.

Jordan, he added, remains at the forefront of Arab leadership consistently underlining the centrality of the Palestinian issue which, once solved, will lead to a solution to Arab and regional crises.
