Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour visited on Wednesday the Palestinians currently undergoing treatment at the Jordanian hospitals after being wounded during the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The prime minister was briefed by Director of the Royal Medical Services, Major General Khalaf Al Sarhan, about the services and medication being provided to the wounded Palestinians.

Six Gazans, including two women and a child, are currently receiving treatment at the Al Hussein Medical City because their conditions require equipment that is not available at the Jordanian Field Hospital in Gaza.

Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza will be provided with extra staff to deal with the escalating situation there and the increasing number of the injured among the Palestinians because of the Israeli aggression.

More Palestinians will be arriving in the Kingdom for medical treatment, the prime minister said, while reiterating the Kingdom's position which calls on Israel to stop its assault on Gaza and to refrain from targeting civilians. "The Palestinian cause remains at the core of the conflict in the Middle East," the prime minister affirmed.
