King starts working visit to Vatican, Austria and Russia

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - King Abdullah left Amman on Monday on working visits to the Vatican, Austria and Russia.

He will meet with Pope Francis and review bilateral relations and ways to boost them. The visit will also focus on boosting cooperation, dialogue and the values on Islamic-Christian coexistence, along with regional developments.

In Vienna, the King will meet with Austrian President Heinz Fischer and senior officials on Tuesday. The two sides will discuss ways to boost relations in various fields and address Middle East developments, mainly the Syrian crisis.

In Moscow, His Majesty the King will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on bilateral cooperation and the latest developments in the Middle East. Talks will also focus on the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.

HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein was sworn in as a Regent.
