Industry minister, Kuwaiti counterpart discuss economic cooperation

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -Minister of Industry and Trade and Minister of Supply Hatim Halawani met on Sunday with his Kuwaiti counterpart Abdulmohsen Al-Madaj on the sidelines of the Arab Summit hosted by Kuwait.

They discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two countries, mainly in the economic field, as well as ways to further boost the ties.

The Kuwaiti minister said in a press statement following the meeting that his country views Jordan as a promising investment and trade destination, adding that Kuwait has major investments in the Kingdom due to its attractive investment climate.

Trade exchange between Jordan and the Arab Gulf state stood at $263 million in 2012.

Kuwait is the biggest investor in Jordan with investments reaching $10 billion.
