Cabinet endorses regulations for fire, earthquake insurance

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) — The Cabinet on Saturday endorsed the new obligatory insurance for fires and earthquakes, which applies to both public and private commercial establishments with assets worth over JD500,000.

The regulations stipulate that municipalities will refrain from granting renewal licences to establishments unless they are included in the new insurance, which seeks to protect their owners and operators from losses they might incur in case of fires and earthquakes.
