The pipeline has been attacked more than 10 times since 2011. The source told Petra that the Egyptian side informed Jordan that it was assessing the situation and the damage caused by the attack on the pipeline that took place 17 kilometers south of el-Arish in the Sinai Peninsula. The pipeline carrying Egyptian gas to Jordan was attacked 15 times last year, causing disruption to gas supplies to the Kingdom that stand at 100 million cubic feet a day and is used to generate electricity in the Kingdom.( Petra)
