Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Security and Gendarmerie forces on Sunday stormed into the Justice Palace to prevent employees from carrying out their daily sit-in, four weeks after Judicial branch employees launched their strike.

Police prevented protesting employees from entering the Justice Hall, where they have been demonstrating for 19 consecutive days calling for better work conditions and increased wages and bonuses.

The strike has paralyzed court proceedings and judicial branch transactions in Amman and throughout the kingdom, especially after justice employees in other cities, including Irbid and Tafileh, joined the strike.

The employees are calling for including all Justice Employees in the bonus system, restructuring the incentives regulations, amending the wages structure for 3rd category employees, and reconsidering legislations regulating the Social Solidarity Fund for Justice Employees, in addition to comprehensive health insurance coverage.

The protesting employees accuse the government of "stalling" and ignoring their demands, and vowed to continue in their strike until their demands are met.
