Cabinet decision to transfer Prince Zeid approved by Royal Decree

Ammon News - AMMAN – A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday approving a Cabinet decision to transfer HRH Prince Zeid Ben Raad, Jordan’s ambassador to the US, to the Foreign Ministry headquarters.

Also yesterday, the Cabinet terminated the services of Salim Khalifa as director of the Royal Geographic Centre, and appointed Awni Khasawneh to replace him.

During yesterday’s session, headed by Prime Minister Samir Rifai, the Cabinet also appointed Hilwa Ghazal as president of the Fuheis Municipal Council, succeeding ?eryes Sweiss.

In addition, the Council of Ministers appointed retired Major General Abdul Salam Hassanat as director general of the Jordanian Economic and Social Organisation for Retired Servicemen, replacing retired Major General Mohammad Abbadi, who resigned.

The Cabinet accepted the resignation of Nasser Khalaf, director general of the National Information Technology Centre, as of July 15 and appointed Nabeel Fayoumi as the new director.
