Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Rakan Qadah - Criminal Investigation cadres on Thursday arrested a group of people in the Northern Badia region involved in attempting to sell counterfeit travelers' cheques with a total amount of $180,000.

A source at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the department received a tip of a group of individuals attempting to sell counterfeit travelers' cheques at a rest area at a northern border crossing.

Criminal Investigation cadres, and after surveillance of their moves, arrested the individuals.

The PSD source said that the suspects are being investigated to look into the details of the fraud attempts.
