Labor Ministry stops pursuing lawsuits it previously filed related to its work

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Investment Affairs, Maen Qatamin, said the ministry is no longer seek to pursue a number of complaints and lawsuits that was previously filed in Jordanian courts in relation to opinions and stances published in media and social media outlets, criticizing the ministry's performance and work.

Qatamin said that the Labor Ministry's doors channels of communication are open to everyone and it welcomes any opinion or objective constructive criticism that enriches work and aims at reforming and developing, away from conflict and personalization of issues.

He stressed the importance of the role of media, civil society institutions and social media platforms in providing correct and accurate information and objective criticism and singling out flaws.

Qatamin underlined that the ministry holds the right to file any lawsuit in the event that the expression of opinion violates the law.
