FMs of Jordan, Egypt, Iraq meet in Baghdad

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, Egypt and Iraqi would hold a meeting on Sunday in Iraq, said the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Saturday.

The meeting will shed light on the means of the economic cooperation among the three countries, besides ways of supporting Iraqi stability and achieving its development, the statement added.

“They [the ministers] will also discuss counter-terrorism issues, investment through a series of agreements and MoUs (Memoranda of Understanding] that include economic coordination, and support Iraq in reconstructing areas that were liberated from terrorist group of Daesh [Islamic State Terrorist Group], the statement read.

The meeting will tackle the outcomes of the tripartite summit held in Cairo between President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and Prime Minister of Iraq Adil Abdul-Mahdi in March, the statement added.

The Foreign Ministers of the three countries have met in Amman on May 9, discussing the mechanism of enhancing economic integration and cooperation in joint industrial zones.
