Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Cabinet economic team held a meeting Saturday, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Omar Razzaz, during which they discussed a number of challenges facing some economic sectors in preparation for solving them.

During their meeting, the ministerial team listened to a briefing by the director of the Yarmouk Water Company Engineer Nabil Zu'bi on the water conditions in the four northern governorates, which the company is in charge of providing water to citizens.

Zu'bi pointed said the new water projects in the northern governorates, in particular Wadi Al Arab 2 project, which will cost $ 125 million, will provide 30 million cubic meters of water, ending the water deficit in these regions, estimated currently about 20 million cubic meters.

Zu'bi noted the premier's surprise visit to the company last year has helped to overcome many administrative problems, in addition to forging an accurate water dispersal program without any manipulation.

On the company's achievements, Zu'bi noted its measures contributed to achieving a qualitative leap in the level of services and reducing percentage of complaints during the first five months of 2019, compared to the same period last year in the governorates of Irbid, Jerash, Ajloun and Mafraq regarding interruptions, leakages, pollution and other observations.

On another sphere, the ministerial team listened to a briefing by Minister of Health Dr. Saad Jaber on the cost of medical treatments in the health sectors.

Jaber stressed the urgent need to establish a "clear" structure to provide more financial and administrative regulation in the ministry and enhancing health services, highlighting the need to unify the financial system of the governmental health sector to foster efficiency of health spending.
