Dams hold 116 million cubic meters

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A total of 116 million cubic metres (mcm) of water is stored in the Kingdom’s major dams, which constitute 34.5 per cent of the dams’ total capacity of 336 mcm, Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abul Saud revealed on Thursday.

He said the recent rain and snow channelled 3 million cubic metres (mcm) of water into the Kingdom’s northern dams, noting that dams in the southern region including Zarqa Ma'in, Walah, Mujib, Tannour, Lajoun and Karak, did not receive any quantities of water.
